Choose one setting that feels like you
A session does not need a long list of stops. The current senior package includes one location, so choose a setting that offers the look you want and a comfortable amount of walking.

Papago's trails and red buttes are described in the Visit Phoenix park guide. For the lake, the City of Tempe's visitor page links to a map of paths, parking and amenities. Use these to explore possibilities; the exact session spot still needs to fit your plans.
If a school, shop or other personally meaningful place is your first choice, mention it when you inquire. Access to a location and permission to photograph there are separate questions. Do not assume a public-looking entrance, rooftop or indoor space is available for a session.
Work backward from your deadline
Tell me when you need the finished photographs, especially if they are for a school submission, announcement or printed invitation. School requirements and deadlines vary, so use the information your school provides.
The current package lists gallery delivery in 7 to 10 days after the session. Allow additional time to choose photographs and arrange any printing or design you need. A session one week before a print deadline may miss that deadline.
Include a few preferred dates in your inquiry. The time of day should fit the setting, light and conditions on the day; there is no single start time that works for every Phoenix session. Discuss shade, walking and comfort as part of choosing the location. If you prefer an outdoor setting but want very little walking, say so at the start.
Pick clothes you can move in
Choose an outfit that feels like you and fits comfortably when standing, sitting and walking. Try the full outfit together beforehand, including shoes. Check for wrinkles, visible tags and anything you find yourself constantly adjusting.
If you plan to wear shoes that are awkward for walking, bring a comfortable pair for getting to the session spot. Mention any outfit-change ideas before the session so we can discuss how they fit the time and location.
Pack a small session bag
- Your chosen outfit and shoes, with a comfortable walking pair if needed.
- A cap, gown and tassel if you want them included and already have them.
- One or two meaningful personal items you would like to discuss photographing.
- Water and any small touch-up items you normally use.
- Your confirmed meeting-point details and a charged phone.
You do not need to arrive with every pose planned. Direction is included in the session. Bringing a few photographs from the portfolio that you like can help explain the feeling you have in mind.
Check the location details before the day
Confirm parking, the meeting point, walking distance and any access restrictions for the selected spot. Venue requirements depend on the property and how it will be used; this guide does not promise that every location is free or available. Keep public paths clear and plan only for spaces you are permitted to use.
For a place outside Phoenix, check that city's or venue's current guidance. A rule for a Phoenix park should not be assumed to apply to a Tempe facility or a private property.
